What will my Chronic Fatigue Treatment Program cost?

I know this is the big question. Many of my patients are at the end of the road. They just can’t afford to fork out more money for a chronic fatigue that doesn’t work. This is why I want to ensure that there are no surprises here regarding cost, and why I offer a money back guarantee.

As I’ve said before, no two treatments are exactly the same, so until I have conducted your initial consultation, it’s difficult to say with certainty what your program will entail, and therefore cost.

Here, though, I outline the prices for different treatment elements, and how these might combine to form an example treatment program.

Cost Summary

Initial Consultation:    $85
Follow up visits – clinic (with acupuncture): $75
Follow up visits – clinic (no acupuncture): $65
Follow up visits – distance (no acupuncture): $50
Chinese hebs (approx.):    $41 per week
Post (approx.) if not collecting herbs in person: $2-6 per week

Treatment Programs

As discussed, for most patients I would recommend a series of weekly visits initially, and once the program is established, frequency of treatments can be reduced to, for example, every 2, 3 or 4 weeks.

Example 1

This is an example treatment program for a patient with a mild case of chronic fatigue. For this patient I have recommended that acupuncture be used with the treatment. I have suggested weekly visits for the first 6 weeks (with acupuncture at each visit), and a total treatment course of 4 months. After the first 6 weeks, the patient was able to move to 3 weekly visits (with acupuncture at each visit).  The patient took herbs throughout the treatment, for a total of 16 weeks. The patient collected their herbs from the clinic, hence was not charged postage.

Initial Consultation: $85
5 x weekly visits (Weeks 2-6) @ $75 each: $375
3 x 3-weekly visits (Weeks 7-16) @ $75 each: $225
16 weeks of herbs @ $41 per week: $656

Total Treatment Cost: $1341

Example 2

This is an example treatment program for a patient with a moderate case of chronic fatigue. For this patient I have recommended that acupuncture be used with the treatment. I have suggested weekly visits for the first 6 weeks (with acupuncture at each visit), and a total treatment course of 8 months. After the first 6 weeks, the patient visited me in the clinic every 4 weeks (with acupuncture), and had a distance consultation between clinic visits (without acupuncture). The patient took herbs throughout the treatment, for a total of 32 weeks.

Initial Consultation: $85
5 x weekly visits (Weeks 2-6) @ $75 each: $375
6 x monthly in clinic visits (Weeks 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30) @ $75 each: $450
7 x monthly distance consultations (Weeks 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32) @ $50 each: $350
32 weeks of herbs @$43 per week (incl. postage): $1376

Total Treatment Cost: $2636

Payment Options & Money Back Guarantee

Following your initial consultation, I will put together for you a recommended treatment program. You can embark on this program one week at a time, paying for your consultations and herbs as you go along, or you can commit to your complete program up front.

I appreciate that committing to the complete program up front is risky, and can seem expensive. That is why this option comes with a money back guarantee. If, at the conclusion of your program you don’t see a substantial improvement in your overall energy levels, I will refund you the cost of your program (less the cost of the herbs & postage). From a financial perspective, this is obviously a much lower risk way of treating your condition. The reason I encourage patients to commit initially to the complete program is that I know that persistence is key in treating chronic fatigue. Much benefit comes from a commitment that you will see this program out, and that you will take your herbs and modify your lifestyle. I want you to get better. If you don’t see a substantial improvement in your condition at the end of your treatment, I’ll give you your money back, subject to the conditions below. Simple as that.

Conditions of Money Back Guarantee

At the end of your first consultation, we can discuss whether you are an appropriate fit for a money back guarantee program. To quality for this you must:

• Pay for the entire cost of your recommended program up front
• Attend all your recommended consultations at the clinic. Cancellations must be rescheduled within a couple of days to have ‘completed’ the program.
• Please…take all your herbs as prescribed and follow my diet and lifestyle recommendations – obviously I’m trusting you to do this, but I’m fairly sure you wouldn’t be taking this step if you didn’t want to get better.

Quite simply, at the end of your program, if you haven’t seen a substantial improvement in your condition, I’ll refund you the cost of your consultations (that is the cost of your program, minus the cost of the herbal medicines & postage).
